Two of Europe’s fastest Pro Mods in final in the first race in the Swedish national championship

Johan won the psychological war before the start and Mats ran a red light, and we finally got a decent run today with 6,02.

The Clerk of the Course Kjell Pettersson closed the race by thanking the fantastic Tierp Arena crew and all the racers for yet another well executed race. And we from Team Lindberg Bros would also like to send a huge thanks to everyone involved!

The final is up in about 30 minutes and the final preparations is done, such as refueling.

Kalle and Strumpan is also doing some final adjustments to the gearbox.

Team Old 51 and Niclas Andersson is some of our best friends. But out at the race track we’re first of all competitors.

Niclas had us in the start…

Johan started to skid some but managed to get the car back on track. But at about 200 meters Niclas lost grip the car started to slide widely back and forth. This is not a fun way of winning, but were in final against…

Mats Eriksson who never gave Fast Freddy a chance.

Tuned for a record run we smoked on the startingline. —We just had to take a chance when we had a solo run, said Jonnie Lindberg afterwords with a huge smile.

Urban took a nap by the tree and Niclas Andersson is up against us in the semi.

6,11 for Freddy, beating Wulcan who seemed to have huge traction problems, skidding all over the place and for a moment also crossing the centerline. Freddy once again left a huge cloud of smoke. This time he blew the intake gasket, and the next round is in about 30 minutes… Freddys Pickup has for this season a new “old” paint job done by the magic Ray Hill.

After 40 minutes of cleaning of the track behind Freddy, Mikael Lindahl and Mats Eriksson finaly got out to finish this battle. Once again a pretty wild ride, but Mats draw the shortest straw.

The battle is on! Niclas Andersson made no mistakes pulling of a 6,129-round and winning against Mats Wicktor.

Urban Johansson had a single round but didn’t hold back. 6,071. He’s in the game!

We all wanted to se what Martin Lundkvist could do today with his Turbo Camaro… But he deep staged hugely with Fast Fred to the left. Martin out and Freddy in. Freddy ran 6,759 leaving a thick trail of smoke behind.

The reigning European champion Micke Gullqvist smoke of the line giving the victory to Mattias Wulcan who ran a nice 6,237.

Mikael Lindahl sent Tami Brander home with a 6,197.

Mats Eriksson had a wild ride slipping and sliding all over the track. But he fought the car to the finish line beating Bertan. 6,142 for Mats and 6,157 for Bertan.

And finally Johan managed to beat Johan “Lillis” Samuelsson with a safe 6,158.

The next round is about 30 minutes away. And we’re having a single round.

The sun is shining, not much winds and it seems like we’re in a good chance of having a great day. The race is on, but first the speaker wanted to have a little chat with yesterdays number one qualifiers.

In the first we’re up against Johan Samuelsson and his Dodge Viper.

After our 3,961 round on the 1/8 mile in Malmö we just wanted to much in todays first two rounds. But for the third we just went back to basic tuning. We ended up as number one qualifier with 6,012 and 388,2 km/h (241,2 mph).

When we finally got out on the track we learned allot about what impact the latest updates had on the car. After some adjustments we managed to, as the only car this weekend, go below 4 seconds. A 3,96 round is a nice start.
