Licence… Check!

_DSC4618

In todays first round Johan shook tires and started to drift towards and over the center line. Unfortunately he hit some photocells and had to lift the throttle. 6,40 is the limit for a license... Not this time...

In round number two everything went better. A little shake, some pedaling gave 6,39... But the engine died after about 4-5 seconds... We don't know why, but the crew is working on it. Anyway, Johan won his license and were ready to go to UK and the Mail Event on the 24-27th of may.

And a third!

_DSC4532After todays third round, Johan has to practice and show that he can evacuate his car through the roof hatch in less than 8 seconds before he can continue his way towards winning his license.

Just another beautiful burn out!

A work of art Johan!

Johan got of the start line in a nice way.

—What I'm used to be a tire shake in the pro mod is probably just normal in this car. I have to learn not to get of the throttle by reflex in these situations. What a kick! Johan says with a huge smile.

No virgin!

During the last minutes before Johan's first ever run in a Funny Car, everybody's hearts are pounding a little extra.

A straight and smooth burnout. Full control!

Everything's ok?

_DSC4430

Yes! Johan is of the start line and immediately of the throttle, as this is a license run.

_DSC4440

It felt so great! It's more of everything! Johan says.

Chassis inspection and scrutineering

This weekend we have on of two Funny Cars here at Tierp Arena. The main goal is for Johan to win his Funny Car license. But before we can use this new car, it needs to be inspected and approved for racing._DSC4383There is of course no problem with that!
